South Holland District Council has awarded a contract for the servicing and maintenance of sewage treatment plants and drain clearance services worth an estimated £4.45 million.

The Council went out to tender in September 2023 for the supply of services in respect of servicing and maintenance of its sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and the clearance of drains, cesspools and septic tanks to domestic properties, shelter housing sites and associated community centres.
Anticipated contract start date is 1 April 2024 with an end date of 31 March 2029.
Four companies were in the bidding for the work, with the contract awarded to Spalding-based firm Bates Environmental Ltd.
